Very beautiful fully carved 1840s WAKA Huia . This box is allocated a NZ Te Manatu Taonga Protected Cultural Heritage No.Y15136. Exceptional deep superb relief carving, triple haehae & dog tooth notching extending in to fish scale haehae. Guarded by two male Tiki figures. A superb old traditional feather box example.
